Born December 7, 1930 to Jim & Sarah Anthony in Braggs, Oklahoma. Helen was part of a large family with 7 siblings. Helen married the love of her life Charles Tye on July 18, 1946. Helen and Charles had two children, Bill and Marcella. Helen worked various jobs ending with Hissom Children's Home, where she cared for individuals with Developmental Disabilities. This was more than just a career, it was her passion. Helen was known to bring one of her clients home for the holiday's because they did not have family to spend holiday's with. Helen lived her life to the fullest. She loved Gospel Singings, church, baseball and being with her family. Helen's home church was White Chapel, her father Jim Anthony and Leonard Terrell along with their community built the church in 1952.
Helen was proceeded in death by her parents Jim & Sarah Anthony, her husband, Charles Tye, her son-in-law Tommie Chastain, her granddaughter Gracie Clodfelter, her grandson Jordan Lunsford, her son Bill Monroe Tye, her siblings Marcelene Rowe, Ruby Anderson, Coy Anthony, JD Anthony, Tommye Jewel Anderson and two baby sisters that passed at birth.
She is survived by her daughter Marcella Chastain, her step-sons and spouses Joe & Ruth Morris, Jack & Michelle Morris, J Berry & Jonette Morris and step-daughter and spouse Peggy & Dewayne Ashmore, her daughter-in-law Judy Tye Donelson, her sister-in-law Phyllis Anthony, her grandsons and spouses Rick & Trina Chastain, Doug & Diane Tye, Jason & Sarah Tye and her granddaughter and spouse Kelli & Sheldon Clodfelter. Her great grandchildren Amanda, DJ, Dylan, Dairyn, Jacelyn, Jacob, Thomas, Tyler, Dailyn, Bailey and Jaycee.
