Catherine was born in Meta, Missouri to William Brenneke and Martha Boeckman.

Catherine was married to Norbert Aloysius Rehagen on Sept. 27, 1952 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Elizabeth, Missouri, and they had five children.

Catherine A. Rehagen, age 77, of St. Elizabeth, died Wednesday, July 4th, 2007, at St Mary's Health Center, Jefferson City. She was born in Meta, Missouri, on February 13, 1930, the daughter of William and Martha (Boeckman) Brenneke. She was married on September 27, 1952, in St. Elizabeth to Norbert Rehagen, who preceded her in death on November 7, 2000.

She was a member of St Lawrence Catholic Church and was active in many community activities in St Elizabeth to include being a member of the St. Ann's Sodality, the St Elizabeth Quilting Club, the American Legion Auxiliary, and was an avid bowler. She was previously a member of the Capitol City Squares Dance Club and the WPFA. She also led a JFA Youth Club. She worked for 24 years as a dietary technician at the St Elizabeth Care Center, retiring in the fall of 2006.

She is survived by one son, Larry Rehagen of Livonia, Michigan; four daughters and sons-in-law, Karen Craig of Tempe, Arizona, Diane and Rob Lang of Peculiar, Darlene and Rob Wansing of St. Elizabeth, and Elaine and Joe Forck of Taos; two brothers and their wives, Herman and Dorothy Brenneke of Jefferson City and William and Margie Brenneke of Oswego, Illinois; and six sisters and their husbands, Rosemary and Leonard Kempker of Eugene, Annie and Bill Barton of Tuscumbia, Arlene and Jerry Libbert of Barnett, Clara and Wilfred Hoecker of St. Elizabeth, Rita Burks of Osage Beach, and Dorothy and Joe Lackman of Apple Creek, Ohio. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Natalie (Wansing) Kemna and her husband Chad of St. Elizabeth, Drew and Nolan Wansing of St. Elizabeth, Nicole Craig of Tempe, Arizona, Felicia and Philip Lang of Peculiar, and Seth and Kara Forck of Taos.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and sister, Delores Schillers.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 9, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Elizabeth. Father Frank Bussman will officiate. Interment will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday at the St. Elizabeth Community Center with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Norbert Rehagen Knights of Columbus Scholarship Fund.
