Pioneer Rail Agent Dead in Oklahoma
Word was received here today of the death of W.H. Bowman, former Santa Fe agent here, in McLoud, Oklahoma, yesterday. He died at the home of a sister in the Oklahoma town, where burial will take place tomorrow.
Bowman was one of the pioneers of the Pecos division of the Santa Fe. He was the first agent for the line at Fort Sumner, and was later agent at Melrose. He was transferred to Clovis in 1917 and retired on pension here in 1930.
