She graduated from Kelly High School in 1951. She graduated from St. Frances School of Nursing in Topeka Kansas in 1955. She retired as a Registered Nurse, from Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, TN 1999.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Frank John & Marie Florena Haefele Rottinghaus and sister Martha Rottinghaus Cowan.
Survived by 2 daughters; Diana K. Platt (Terry) Lankford of White House, TN and Deann R. Edison of Nashville, TN.; three grandchildren; Angie Lankford (David) Key of Cross Plains, TN, Cheryl Edison (Michael) Hunt of Mt. Juliet, TN, Alicia Edison (Joshua) Matthews of Cross Plains, TN; and by six great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are four brothers; Francis Rottinghaus (Judy), Seneca, KS, Robert Rottinghaus (Diana), Kansas City, MO, James Rottinghaus (Betty), Overland Park, KS, Gerald Rottinghaus & friend Paula Ireland, Burke, VA, and six sisters; Mary Kongs (Louis) Topeka, KS, Veronica Stallbaumer (Gervase), Basehor, KS, Margaret Rethman, Overland Park, KS, Dolores Engel, Topeka, KS, Lucille Koelzer (Regis, ) Axtell, KS, Rosemary Runnebaum (Robert), Kansas City, KS.
She loved spending time with her family and watching football. Visitation: Saturday January 4, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. Service at 4 p.m. at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House, TN.
