Uncle Brown was preceded in death by four older half-sisters; Margaret & Virginia Rice, Ida Dunn Flores, Thelma Reed Hernandez, one older brother, Ben Buster Rice, & three younger sisters; Frankie Rice Long Robinson, Eunice Rice Caldwell, & Lily Rice Phillips.
He married 1st Clementine "Tina" Weathers. They had two sons: Charles in 1957 & Richard Lynn in 1961. Brown & Tina divorced. Charles & Richard were put up for adoption.
He married 2nd Betty A Bachman in 1963, Angola, Steuben Co., IN. Betty was b. in 1942. She had a son, also Richard, from a previous relation (a Pate cousin of Brown's, tho it wasn't known at the time until Richard's son, also Richard did a DNA test.)
