Karl Lloyd Taylor, 73, our loving brother, father and grandfather, passed away suddenly July 3, 2007 at home in his sleep. Lloyd was born in Provo, UT on November 1, 1933, the only son to Karl Roe Taylor and Margaret Reese Taylor. He was raised in Lakeview on the family dairy farm and spent his entire life living there. He attended school in Orem, graduating from Lincoln High School and attending Brigham Young University, participating in basketball, baseball and men's choir. He married JoAnn Allen in the Salt Lake Temple on June 15, 1954. They lived in Lakeview where Lloyd built their home and managed the family dairy business. JoAnn passed away in February 1968, leaving Lloyd with four young children. He later married Dina Kusch Trevino. They combined their families and added two more to raise a total of ten children. They were later divorced. Lloyd sold the dairy in 1972 and went into the construction business which he owned and operated until retiring in 2002. He loved spending time with his family and going fishing. As a young man, Lloyd shared his many talents with the community and his family. He was known for his amazing skill on the basketball court and the softball diamond, and especially for his beautiful tenor voice. He loved to sing and was often called upon to share his gift of song at many church and social events, weddings and funerals. Later in life, he became interested in scuba diving and traveling the world. He was able to visit many places and enjoy the wonders of this beautiful world and the differences of many cultures. He is survived by his two loving sisters: Dorothy Madsen (Sheldon), Arlene Greenland (Jack), both of Provo; his children: Kim Karl Taylor, Cyndy Butler (Duane), Dana Babinchak (Dennis), Jay Trevino (Bruce), Lane Taylor (Natalie), Rudy Trevino, Gina Scott (Clive), Nanette Taylor, Ruby Putatau (George), Clint Taylor (Kim), 36 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Allen and his parents, Karl Roe Taylor and Margaret Reese Taylor. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 9, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Berg Mortuary, 185 East Center, Provo. Friends may call from 9:00-10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment, Provo City Cemetery, 610 South State Street, Provo.
