George Carl "Coon" Williamson, 85 of Vidor died Friday, November 2nd, 2018 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. He was born in The Williamson Settlement on The Little Creek and was a lifelong resident of Vidor . George was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Vidor. He was a process operator for Texaco for 38 years before retiring. George enjoyed gardening and traveling, but most of all he loved his family and attending the kids' and grandkids' activities. Visitation will begin at 6:00 PM Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, November 8, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Vidor with burial to follow at Williamson Cemetery in Vidor. George is survived by his children Belinda Gail Jenkins and her husband Daniel, George Carl Williamson Jr and his wife Darlene, Cynthia Ann Williamson, Frank Daniel Williamson and his wife Stella, Johnny Ray Williamson and his wife Connie all of Vidor, TX, Amanda Leigh Buchanan and her husband Chris of Raleigh, NC, Elizabeth Irene Coward and her husband Jason of Vidor, TX, siblings Irene Hilton and Joe Williamson both of Vidor, TX, 30 grandchildren and 65 great-grandchildren.
