Wilton Homer Allen, 81, of Hamilton, died in Hamilton Nursing Home on Thursday, Oct. 6. Funeral services were held at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, Oct 8, with Rev. Miles Miears officiating and Rev. Buddy Selman assisting. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery.

Mr. Allen was born in Indian Gap on May 31, 1907, the son of the late Joseph Borden and Mary Elizabeth Harris Allen. He had lived most of his life in the Hamilton area. He married Ila Faye Redden on June 21, 1936. [Hamilton County Marriage Record Book 10, pg 57] She preceded him in death on Dec.27, 1986. He was a retired farmer and road construction worker. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Hamilton.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Walton Denney of Irving; a sister, Carie Hailes of Ardmore, Okla; and a grandson, Gregory Allen Denney.

Pallbearers were V. B. Munday, Bobbie Cathey, A. G. Register, John L. Warren, Rabbit Fuqua and Oby James Harris.
