Isaac Thompson was born August 9, 1809 in Frenchtown, Hunterdon, New Jersey (source: death register, Delaware County, Iowa. He married Mary Elizabeth Lockwood in New York about 1835. Isaac and Mary Elizabeth migrated, with their children, to Ohio, then Michigan, finally settling in Delhi, Delaware County, Iowa about 1854. Isaac was a tailor in that town for many years. Elizabeth died in 1864 and Isaac in 1884. Both are buried in Evergreen Cemetery Delhi.
