Annis, age 87, died at Brandon Woods Retirement Community in Lawrence. She was the daughter of Lucas C. and Myrtle A. (Ball) Trent. She graduated from Hutchinson (KS) High School. She married Robert Laverne Stewart on August 30, 1937, in Hutchinson. Survivors include her husband, her children, Janice Houk and Gerald Stewart, her siblings, Arvin Trent and Alena Mettlen, four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Albert Lucas Trent, Alfred Jesse Trent, Alvis Carl Trent, and Zella Alaire Alexander. Services were held at Centenary United Methodist Church. Her body was donated to the Kansas University Medical Center, and cremation will occur.
