Herman Karl Anaya Jr. passed away with his family by his side in Albuquerque, NM. Herman was a lifelong resident of Tajique, NM, where he raised his family. Herman was a dedicated father and grandfather. Herman worked hard for his family and was very giving and generous. Herman never met a stranger and loved to laugh. His pride and joy were his grandkids and he spent lots of time with them making memories. Herman loved the Pittsburgh Steelers, watching football and the local Estancia Bears.
Herman was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Sr. and Amadita Anaya and sister, Jeanette.
Herman is survived by his children, Julio Anaya, Sophia Anaya and Juan Gutiérrez, and Veronica Anaya and Martín Aragón, grandchildren, Destiny and Adrianna Gutiérrez, Trinity, Ava and Layla Anaya and Alex, Noah, Elijah Aragón, brothers, Martín Anaya and Helen, Larry Anaya and Senaida, sisters, Jeanette Barela, Lorraine Perea and Polly Conant and James. Herman is also survived by many nephews, nieces, friends and family.
Services will be on September 13, 2019 at the San Antonio Catholic Church in Tajique, NM, beginning with a Rosary to be recited at 10:00 a.m. with Mass to follow. Interment will take place in the Tajique Catholic Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Julio Anaya, Martín Anaya, Larry Anaya, Moises Fidel Anaya, Jacob Barela, Juan Gutiérrez, and Romolo Aragón. Honorary Pallbearers will be Alex Aragón, Noah Aragón, Elijah Aragón, Destiny Gutiérrez, Adrainna Gutiérrez and Bob Renard.
