Doris Willia Adams, 86, of Kansas City, formerly of Fredonia, Kansas, passed away on September 9, 2019, at her daughter’s residence.
Doris was born in Buffville, Kansas on August 26, 1933, to Willie M. Beal and Alice S. Archer. She graduated from Fredonia High School in 1951 and took some classes at Kansas City Kansas Community College.
On January 31, 1953, Doris was united in marriage to Kenneth Adams, and he preceded her in death on February 10, 2014.
Doris worked as a Classified Specialist at Health and Human Services in Kansas City, Missouri.
Her hobbies were sewing and cooking. Her specialty was pumpkin pie.
Doris will be remembered for being an excellent mother and grandmother.
Doris is survived by three children, Martha Kidd (Jim) of Peculiar, Missouri, David Adams of Kansas City Kansas, and Kathy Christian (Steve)of Colstrip, Montana, one brother, Jack Beal (Lois) of Seattle, Washington, eleven grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and both parents.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 510 North 7th Street Fredonia, Kansas.
The celebration of life funeral service will be held Monday, September 16, 2019, at 1:00pm at Wickham Family Funeral Home.
