Deceased Name: ROBERT GASSER - MACKINAW -- Robert G. Gasser, 74, of 312 Heritage Drive died at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, 1996, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.
Born June 29, 1921, in St. Louis to Frederick and Anna C. Ruebenbar (sic) Gasser, he married Jane E. Becker on Dec. 20, 1941, in St. Louis. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Stephen P. of Mackinaw and Christopher R. of Washington; two daughters, Mrs. Gail (Linda) Springer and Pamela S. Frans, both of Tremont; one brother, Gerald M. of St. Louis; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grand-children. One grandson, one brother and two sisters preceded him in death.
He was a sales manager for W.G. Best Homes in Illinois. He also operated Angelo's Restaurant in Morton from 1980 to 1985. A World War II Army Air Corps veteran, he was a member of American Legion Post 318 in Morton. He also was an aerial photographer during the war.
He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Washington, where services will be at 11 a.m. Monday. The Revs. Dean Beckwith
and Dani Jo Ninke-Greaver will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 tonight at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington. Burial will
be in Glendale Cemetery in Washington. Memorials may be made to his church.
