Roy Oliver Ellis, 80, of Avon, passed away Aug. 26, 2019. He was born March 11, 1939, in Indianapolis, to the late Orville Ellis and Flossie (Wells) Parrigen. Roy was a faithful Protestant. He worked as a welder for many years at Carrier Corp. After retiring from Carrier, he worked in the home construction industry. Roy was an avid golfer for over 60 years, winning numerous awards and trophies. He is going to be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Paul Ellis; and a granddaughter, Erica Ellis.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon; two children; two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
According to his wishes, he will be cremated and services will be held privately at a later date. Final arrangements and cremation are entrusted to Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville.
