Survivors include his wife, Bettie; two step-sons, Danny Sammons of Lubbock and Eddie W. Sammons of Greenville, S.C.; one step-daughter, Catherin Eschenberg of Ft. Ord, Ca.; one sister, Mrs. Tiny Woodall of Danville; one brother, Clayborn of Venezuela; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in the Sanders Memorial Chapel with Rev. John Mudoch, minister of the North Ash Assembly of God Church, officiating. Burial was in Peaceful Gardens Cemetery.
