Eusebio S. "Chevo" Almendarez, 91, was born on August 14, 1915, in Temple, Texas, and entered into rest on July 3, 2007, in Houston where he resided since 1934.

He was a business owner of Almendarez Drive-In/Groceries from 1946-1991, and a retired twenty-year Insurance Agent with American National Insurance.

Our beloved "Papo" had a great love of life and family.

His spirit lives with us forever. He is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Isabel S. Almendarez.

He is survived by his daughter, Angelita Almendarez, granddaughters; Minerva Ramirez, Liz, and Robert Flores, Diana Marie Rivera, great-grandchildren; Erica, Elissa, Brian, Enrique, Christian, Estevan, Lauren, and Robert, numerous nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2007, from 5-9 P.M. with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 P.M. at Guadalupe Funeral Home, 5100 North Freeway, Houston, Texas.

The funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, July 6, 2007, at Guadalupe Funeral Home.

Interment to follow at Brookside Memorial Park.
