In 1893, on February 11 again in Sherman, Grayson County, Texas, birth of a younger brother, Jesse Leon.

He served four years in the Navy.
In 1917, he registered in Texas for the WWI draft. He was tall and slender with black hair and blue eyes.
He was a tailor.

In 1917, on September 2 in Johnson, Texas, he married Ann Merle Billingsley.

In, 1920 they suffered the loss of a premature newborn at one week of age, Frank Edward Campbell.
