In 1965 he was united in marriage to Mary Ann Kreisel. They made their home in Benton County until moving to Marshall. D.D. worked as an inspector at the shoe factory in Matshall until it closed in 1988. He then began work for the Marshall School District until 2011 when his health began to fail.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Arnold, a twin brother J.V. Arnold, a sister Madie Lawrence and a brother Lewis Arnold, an infant son D.D. Arnold, Jr., a daughter Lynn Hawkins and a son Albert Arnold.
He is survived by a daughter, Kathy Jamison, and her husband, Mark, of Marshall, Missouri, a sister Dottie Kurth, of Carrollton, Missouri, five grandchildren; Kyeann Munier, and her husband Harley, of Miriam Woods, Missouri, Justin and Cody Yokeley, of Forsyth, Missouri and Scott and Tyler Hawkins, of Trenton, Missouri, five great-grandchildren, numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services for D.D. Arnold will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at the Davis-Miller Funeral Home in Lincoln, Missouri. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Graveside Services will follow the funeral at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Lincoln. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery c/o the Davis-Miller Funeral Home 119 W. Main Street Lincoln, Missouri 65338.
