US Congressman. Elected to represent Indiana's 3rd and 5th Districts in the United States House of Representatives, he served from 1831 to 1837. He was defeated for re-election in 1836. He also served as a Member of the Indiana State House of Representatives from 1818 to 1819, and as Presidential Elector for Indiana in 1824, and again in 1840.
