SEPTEMBER 19, 1934 ~ SEPTEMBER 8, 2019 (AGE 84)

Floyd Holfeltz, beloved father and grandfather, died peacefully on September 8, 2019 in Vernal, Utah. He was born on September 19, 1934 in Vernal, Utah. He is the oldest son of George and Frances (Marshall) Holfeltz. He married his sweetheart, Marline Kay Twitchell, on October 15, 1955 in Vernal, Utah and was later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple in September of 1957.

Floyds father George passed away when he was 4 years old. At age 9 he moved to the Hartle Ranch where he learned how to milk cows and do other chores from his step-father Ruben Hartle. He attended Central Elementary School and Uintah High School where he graduated in 1953. He drove trucks most of his life.

Floyd and Marline have lived in Worland, Wyoming, Casper, Wyoming and Vernal, Utah. They have 5 children, 19 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Floyd was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many callings. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling, and camping on the desert.

Floyd is survived by his wife of 63 years Marline, his children Terry, Norma, Mike, and Cristie. His grandchildren: Heather, Phil, Nicole, Natalie, Derik, Marlana, Jared, Brandon, Devin, Cumorah, Lucas, Alexia, Brielle, Maci, Dominic, Kyle, Hallie, Jocelyn, and Olesya; his great-grandchildren and his great-great-grandchildren; his sisters Dorris (Holtfeltz) Wall, Shary Hartle, and Marilyn (Hartle) Rogers.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Gary, and his daughter Gail.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 11AM at the Vernal 4th Ward Chapel (235 East 600 South). A viewing will be held Wednesday morning from 9:45-10:45AM at the Church. Interment will be in the Rockpoint Cemetery.
