The Greenville News - May 24, 1924
Died on May 23, 1924 at Norwood St., Monaghan. He was 72 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sally Childress Lister, one brother A. J. Lister of Tigerville, one sister Mrs. Frances Henson of Gowansville and five children as follows, A. J. Lister, Mrs. Lula Dill, Mrs. Minnie Newson, Mrs. Pearl Owings, and Mrs. Mamie Southerlin of Greenville.
Mr. Lister was a member of Ebenezer Baptist church. Funeral service will be held at the residence this afternoon at 3 o'clock and interment will be at Monaghan Cemetery. The Rev. Mr. Caldwell will conduct the service.
