Thelma Gertrude Eastridge, 87, of Fredericksburg went to her rest on Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010, at Carriage Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was a lifelong resident of Fredericksburg. Her passion was making others beautiful. She was a well- known hairdresser in Fredericksburg for more than 25 years at Martha's Beauty Salon. Thelma was one of the lucky people who truly enjoyed her career.

She is survived by her only son, Joseph Wayne Eastridge; two nieces, Dreama Akers and Betty Synan; and a nephew, J.T. Tingler.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 27, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 26, at the funeral home.
