Quote from a letter dated 6 Oct 1845 to her daughter Ammonia Cleveland. "God yet lengthens out my short journey of life to improve a few more of these passing moments that are wasting by many, never to be recalled. Death, that constant visiter, will separate us before long." "Your father has gone to Sullivan, he is able to preach yet, but he is afflicted with the diabetes. He thinks he shall not stay in this sorrowful world much longer. I hope you will come and see us while we live. It is like a dagger to my heart to think of living after his decease. I hope he will live till when I am gone."
