Born February 5, 1904 in West Perry Township, Snyder County, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Jennie (Graybill) Hornberger.
She was preceded in death in 1977 by her husband, Emory J Brown.
Surviving are: children, Harold M Brown of Rockville, Md, Violet E Pontius, New Bloomfield, Virginia M Hockenbroch of Liverpool RD 2 and Lois M Graybill of Mifflintown RD 4; brothers and sisters, Merrill Hornberger, Herbert Hornberger, Marie House, Ferne Snyder and Faye Smith, all of Richfield RD 1.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Janet Brown and Nedra Pyle; a grandson, Steven Pontius; sisters, Irma Hart and Violet Carvell; a brother, John Hornberger; a half-sister, Ella Renninger; and half-brother, Dewey Hornberger.
Mrs Brown was a member of the Richfielde United Methodist Church and of the Queen Esther Sunday school class.
Services will be held at 10 am today (Wednesday) in the Richfield United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Almond D Baird and Paul E Snyder officiating. Interment will be in Richfield Union Cemetery.
