Born March 6, 1921, at Richfield RD1, she was the daughter of the late Irvin and Maude M.Fisher Swartz. In 1940, she married Clair J.Carvell who survives.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Fred (Colleen) Stimeling of Richfield RD1,; four sons: Joel N.Carvell and Micah S.Carvell, both of Richfield RD1; Timothy A.Carvell of Rochester, Pa; and Laban A.Carvellof Lancaster; a sister, Mrs. Ray (Beatrice) Carvell of Richfield RD1; and seven grandchildren.
Mrs. Carvell was a member of Richfield United Methodist Church and the Queen Esther Class of the Sunday School of which she was also a teacher.
Services were held at 2 pm Sunday at the Richfield United Methodist Church with the Rev. Carl H.Geary officiating. Interment was in Union Cemetery at Richfield.
