He grew up in Kentucky, graduated from high School there, and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Western University in Bowling Green, KY. He moved to the Warsaw area 50+ years ago from Kentucky. He retired from Warsaw Plating Works after 30 years and formerly worked for N.I.P.S.CO in Gary, IN.
He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Plymouth.
He is survived by:
3 Daughters – Trudy (Breck) Walls of Pierceton, Elizabeth (Brooks) Walls of Mentone, and Judy (Bill) Fereill of Indianapolis
6 Grand & 7 Gt. Grandchildren
Sister – Jessie Watkins of Gary
He was preceded in death by his parents, son – Wilbur Conley, 2 sisters – Rena Jane & Minnie, and 3 brothers - D. B. Benny, and Daniel.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd. 15, Warsaw, IN. A private family graveside service will take place at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Pierceton, IN with Pastor William Whitaker of the Warsaw Family Worship Center officiating.
Preferred memorials may be given to the Visiting Nurse & Hospice, 5910 Homestead Rd., Fort Wayne, IN 46814.
