Shelby Jean Baker, 60, of Johnson City, passed away unexpectedly Sunday September 1, 2019 at her residence.

She was born in Erwin to the late Jerry and Elizabeth Lane. Shelby graduated from Unicoi High School in 1977. She was a long time employee of ACT where she enjoyed her work friends and family. Shelby was a devoted and loving mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She loved the outdoors, swimming, and was an avid pool player.

Shelby is survived by her life partner and best friend David Jackson, sons; Kenneth Baker and Jason Stanley, daughter; Crystal Palomino, brothers; Daryl, Bobby, and Randy Lane, grandchildren; Dupree Palomino, Joshua Baker, Dustin Stanley, Elijah Hale, Damon Stanley, Mia Baker, and Kenna Baker.

Shelby’s family will gather to greet and share memories Sunday September 8, 2019 from 12pm-2pm at Tetrick Funeral Services in Johnson City. A Funeral Service will follow at 2pm with David Ensmiger officiating. A Graveside Service will be conducted following the Funeral Service beginning at 3:30pm at Garland Cemetery in Unicoi.
