YORK Mary Claudine (Reed) (Beadling) Beavers, 95, died at 9:20 p.m. Thursday, June 28, 2007. at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Robert C. Beadling and Curt Beavers. Her memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant Acres Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 118 Pleasant Acres Road, York. Burial will be private in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Susan Oelrich, Chaplain at Pleasant Acres. The Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Mount Wolf, is assisting the family with arrangements. Claudine was born December 2, 1911, in Tipton, Ind., the daughter of the late Claude S. and Minnie Mae (Brown) Reed. She was a member of the Women's Traffic Club of York and Longstown United Methodist Church in York. Claudine is survived by two daughters, Judith M. Bailey of Dover and Carole J. Spence of East Prospect; two granddaughters, Lori Mitzel and Tracy Miller; and four stepchildren, Kathy Hinton, Judy Gemmill, William Beavers, and Michael Beavers. Mrs. Beavers was preceded in death by a son, Robert D. Beadling; and a grandson Jeffrey Spence.
