Goldia was born September 7, 1927 in Alpine Tennessee, graduated from Alpine High School. She moved to Florida after meeting and marrying Erwin, and started a family in Tampa. She raised three boys, Alden, James Michael (1952-2018) and Marshall Dean (1955-1984) Perkins. She attended nursing school and became a Certified Nursing Assistant. She loved and enjoyed many years of softball and was a member of Six Mile Creek Baptist Church for many years before moving her membership to First Freewill Baptist Church. Goldia loved to laugh and MOST OF ALL LOVED HER FAMILY! Goldia is preceded in death by her parents Walter and Sarah Smith, her four sisters, her first husband Erwin Perkins, second husband Lynn Laursen, son Marshall Perkins and Grandaughter Marsha Perkins Massey. She is survived by her children as well as seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and five great, great grandchildren. Goldia, ever the energetic person, had a full life with family. Her rest is well-earned.
