Odd Fellow Lodge Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 6, at Arnold Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow with Rev. Gary Pillischafske officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park.
Visitation is Friday from 12:30 p.m. until time of Lodge Services at the funeral home.
Leonard was born on June 18, 1931 in Monroe County, the son of Gordie G. and Virgie Dean (Pollard) Mills. On May 26, 1967 in Eldon, he married Mary Frances Holman. She passed away on February 14, 2019.
Mr. Mills had worked at Kaisers/National Refractories for over 40 years. He also had Mills Brothers Auctioneers for many years.
Leonard was a member of Benton City Christian Church, I.O.O.F., Masonic Lodge and the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, coon and coyote hunting.
Survivors include seven children, Kathy Mills of Eugene, Edwin Mills of Mexico, Becky (Dennis) Lichtenberg of Mexico, Terry Ross (Sherri) Mills of Mexico, Sherry Mills of Mexico, Laurie Robin (Terry) Feil of Mexico, and Diana (Juan) Holguin of Benton City; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; five siblings, Richard (Janice) Mills of Mexico, Lola Mae Knipfel of Fulton, Barbara (Edwin) Mortimer of Centralia, Ruth (Alden) Killian of Centralia, and Dennis (Becky) Mills of Centralia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Mary, Leonard was preceded in death by 12 siblings, Edith, Gordon, Leona, Billy, Gene, Lawanda, Clifton, Gilberta, Bruce, Thomas, Ray, and Daisy.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or Community Loving Care Hospice. Both may be made in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO 65265.
