Clarice Olga Balk age 92 of Eastman passed away Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Crossing Rivers Healthcare in Prairie du Chien. She was born September 10, 1926 in Lynxville, WI the daughter of Soren and Bertha (Fortney) Torger. She was married to Howard Clarke who preceded her in death. She was then married to Ed Fisher who preceded her in death. Later Clarice married Lyman Balk, who also preceded her in death. She worked at Hidden Valley Lodge in Prairie du Chien and later became the “voice” of Wal-Mart where she worked in various departments over the years until her retirement. Clarice was an active member of the United Methodist Women. She is survived by her children, Jim (Patty) Clarke, Charley (Kristy) Fisher and Susie (Doug) Konichek, her stepchildren Norman (Marilyn) Balk, Nancy Sutton, Mary (Phil) Trautsch and Donna Sarbacker, 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son David Clarke, her husbands, and a sister Helen Vanderbilt.

A Memorial Service will be Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Salem United Methodist Church, Pastor Cheryl Weaver officiating, with interment in the Campbell Cemetery both in Eastman. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until the time of services. The Garrity Funeral Home of Prairie du Chien is assisting the family. www.garrityfuneralhome.com
