She was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma, the daughter of Rhonda Kay (Burdine) Turner. She graduated from Eufaula High School in 1997. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Northeastern State University in 2004. She married Ryan Enis at Robbers Cave State Park on June 4, 2005. The couple moved to Fayetteville where Stephanie got a job teaching Speech and Drama for Farmington Public Schools. Stephanie and Ryan were excited about the soon to be birth of their daughter, Ryleigh Kay Enis. She and her unborn daughter died in an automobile accident after another driver veered left of center between Wilburton and Hartshorne. Her husband survived the collision.
