Eisele
Services for Clara Josephine Eisele, 89, Eudora, will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Eudora United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Lawrence.
Mrs. Eisele died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005, at Baldwin Care Center.
She was born Feb. 20, 1916, in Lawrence, the daughter of Charles Richard and Stella Jane Spray Cox. She graduated from Lawrence High School in 1934.
Mrs. Eisele was a homemaker. She and her husband farmed near Eudora for more than 60 years. She was a member of Eudora United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. She was active in United Methodist Women and Bible study groups.
She married Byron Wesley Eisele on Dec. 5, 1937, in Lawrence. He died Oct. 22, 1999.
Survivors include two sons, Karl Eisele, Wellsville, and William Eisele, Wamego; a daughter, Nancy Garner, San Ramon, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home in Lawrence, where the family will receive them from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
