Constance (Sissy) E. Cole (Maiden name: Kester) passed away peacefully at the age of 93 on August 27, 2019 at her home in Houston, Texas. Sissy had lived there for 64 years.
She was born on March 27, 1926 in Houston, Texas and remained in Houston her whole life. Sissy’s mother was Florence M. Kester (Maiden name: Mixon) and Father Ray Pembleton Kester, Sr.
Sissy worked in the Customer Service Industry in various jobs including a “Car Hop” at Sullivan’s and managing a Convenience Store. She went to Reagan High School where she participated in the marching band. Earlier in life she attended St Andrews Episcopal Church. Her interests included raising and loving many rescue dogs during her life. She loved her yard and mowed 3 acres on her favorite riding lawn mower until just before she passed away.
She is preceded in death by Robert E. Cole Sr. (1922-2004 / husband 1948-1974) and her brother Ray P. Kester (1924-1990)
Sissy is survived by her children: Robert E. Cole Jr., Ronald S. Cole (Spouse: Renie), Jeri Denee Weir (Cole / Spouse: Gary), and Walter Cole (Spouse: Alice). Her Grandchildren: Joshua E. Cole, Jordan Cole, Sharon Cole, Savannah Cole, Shantel White (Cole), Lauren Provost, Jason Bolen, Jovanne Cole Han, Alexis Emory (Cole) and Andrea Weir. Her Great-Grandchildren: Rhea Wise, Liem Han, Bentley Provost, and Parker White.
The celebration of Sissy’s life will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home and Cemetery this Saturday Morning, August 31, 2019. Visitation begins at 9:00 AM and Service begins at 10:00 AM. Place of burial is at Woodlawn Cemetery.
