Juliette Josephine was the dau. of Charles Bowlsby and Mellissa Jane Thompson. She married John Tannahill on Jan.8, 1870 and they went to live on a homestead in Butler Co., Nebraska. John and Josephine had 3 girls, Lillian Annabell, Jennie Melissa, and Minnie Louise and a little boy,George William. She died one night when she fell and drowned in the cistern of their home. It was a terrible blow to this little family.
