A lengthy obituary appeared in The Herald-News where it was reported the East Rutherford resident was a former borough Council member and ex- fire chief. He died at St. Mary's Hospital following a heart attack. He was survived by his wife Elizabeth k. (nee Reif) and sons Edgar, Walter and Alfred and daughter Mrs. Florence Heffner.
