Obituary for Ramon Aaron
Fairview/Richfield, Utah - Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, James Ramon Aaron, age 83, of Fairview, passed away peacefully in his sleep while out camping with his wife up Fairview Canyon on August 27, 2019. He was born April 4, 1936 in Richfield, a son of James Hyrum and Dortha Spencer Aaron. He graduated from Richfield High School, Class of 1954. Ramon married Barbara Marilyn Brewer April 20, 1957 in the Manti LDS Temple. She died July 7, 2007. He then married Erma Lee Hansen January 3, 2009 in the Manti LDS Temple.

Ramon served his country in the Utah National Guard for 12 years. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving as a Scout Leader when his kids were growing up, teacher in the Primary and Sunday School, working 20 years in the Manti Temple and in the Family History Center in Mt. Pleasant.

He was the Commander of the VFW Sevier Valley Post 5050, served on the Sevier Search and Rescue (1U208), served on the Board of the Senior Citizens and Museum in Fairview and was one of the founders of Rimrod Rifle Club. Ramon worked for UDOT in Richfield and retired after 32 years.

Ramon enjoyed hunting the West Mountain, camping, four-wheeling, shooting and reloading guns, trap shooting and Genealogy.

Ramon is survived by his wife, Erma Lee, of Fairview; children: Bart and Sandy Aaron of American Fork; Laurie and Brian Danise of Las Vegas, Nevada; Brett and Kristen Aaron of West Jordan; Odis and Coene Aaron of Salt Lake City; Jerimy Aaron of Richfield; Shawn and Careene Eliot of Elk Ridge; 14 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; a sister, Teresa and Rick Roberts of Venice.

He is preceded in death by his father, James Hyrum Aaron; his mother, Dortha and Vaughn Taylor; a daughter, Lois Ann Aaron and his first wife, Barbara Aaron.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in the Fairview 4th LDS Ward Chapel, 122 South State Street in Fairview. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or at the ward chapel in Fairview Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 prior to the services.

Burial with military honors accorded by the VFW Sevier Valley Post 5050 and the Utah Honor Guard will be Saturday afternoon at 3:30 P.M. in the Richfield City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
