YORK -- Rev. Leonard F. Johnson, 58, went home to be with his Lord on May 28, 2007 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, S.C.
Burial will be at Gaston Memorial Park.
A native of Gaston County, N.C., Rev. Johnson was a son of Rev. Westle Johnson and Emma Lunsford Johnson.
He graduated from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with an Associate of Divinity degree in Pastoral Ministry. Leonard served as associate pastor of Lake Ponchatrain Baptist Church in New Orleans, La., associate pastor of Ridge Baptist Church in Gastonia, pastor of East Kelso Baptist Church in Kelso, Wash., and pastor of Midway Baptist Church and Serenity Baptist Church in Gastonia.
