ALLEN GIVENS.
Ruston, May 23 (Special). - Allen Givens, for 43 years a resident of Ruston, died here at his home today after a long illness. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 5 p.m. at Trinity Methodist church by the Rev. Guy Hicks. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery, under direction of McLure funeral service of Ruston.
For a number of years office deputy in the Lincoln tax assessors office, Mr. Givens was active in civic affairs of the city. He was a member of Trinity Methodist church.
Surviving are his widow; two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Givens, Ruston, and Mrs. S. C. Auld, San Antonio, Texas; one brother, Sam of Bastrop; two sons, Allen of Monroe and W. P. of Shreveport; one daughter, Mrs. Glen Crawford, Covington.
Active pallbearers include Rhode Smith, Dr. J. H. Barnes, A. K. Goff, Ross Neil, W. L. Mitchell, S. L. Cole, Walter Thurmon and Jack Madden.
