Licking man dies in motorcycle accident

Frank W. Davy, a 57-year-old Licking man, was traveling on a motorcycle when he collided with a towed unit behind a pickup Sunday evening, resulting in fatal injuries for Davy. Davy was southbound on Hwy. 137, four miles north of Licking, when William Grammar, 19, of Summersville attempted to turn from a private drive to the northbound lane of Hwy. 137. Davy’s Harley Davidson motorcycle struck the side of Grammar’s towed unit in the southbound lane. Davy was wearing a helmet.
This was the 26th fatality accident in Troop G for 2019, compared to 27 fatality accidents in the same time period in 2018.

Frank William Davy, 57, of Licking passed away August 25, 2019. Frank was born in Spokane, Washington on December 28, 1961 to Jess Eugene Davy and Ilene Maxine (Pool) Davy.
Frank enjoyed building and loving his own trucks and bikes. He loved to camp and float the river with his family, friends, and girlfriend by his side.
Frank is survived by his daughter, Brittney Davy; girlfriend, Julie Colvard and her son, Dakota Utley; sisters, Virginia Gann, Carol Brim, Betty Vestal, Brenda Brim, Marty Lane, Jackie Gilbert, and Sharon Decker; and grandchildren, Dylan Lewis and Everly Davy.
