Willis A. Bauman, 80, a retired Lawndale farmer, died at 4:40 a.m. Sunday at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital. He was brought to the hospital last Tuesday after he apparently suffered a stroke. He was found unconscious in his home by his brother-in-law, W. H. Caskey of Lawndale.

His funeral was to be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Dammerman and Fricke Funeral Home, with Dr. E. E. Stauffer officiating. Burial was in Harmony Cemetery near Beason.

He was born February 15, 1876, at Lockport, Ind., a son of the Rev. and Mrs. Jacob Bauman. He married Addie Caskey Feb. 9, 1910. She died in 1947.

Surviving are two nephews in Iowa.

He was a member of the Methodist Church and the Lincoln Masonic Lodge.
