Thomas Clevenger and Elizabeth "Betsy" (Conner) Clevenger, the former a native of Ohio, and the latter of Highland, Indiana, and both of Irish descent (taken from A Portrait and Biographical Record of Delaware and Randolph Counties, Ind). (There is evidence on geni.com that this line of Clevenger threads back to England to George Clevenger, Born 1654 - died in Yonkers 1684). Thomas Clevenger, born 1802, Clinton, Ohio came with his parents to Randolph County at an early day, and endured all of the hardships of pioneer life. He was married to Elizabeth Conner 6-16-1825, and reared a family of eleven children, with the exception of two, to years of maturity. Jacob and a brother were the last living members. Thomas Clevenger died February 23, 1867 in Stony Creek Township, Randolph County, Indiana having been a farmer all of his life. Elizabeth was born 1-17-1811 and passed away in 1849 in Indiana.
