Funeral Services Set Monday for D.S. Bragg, 68
Funeral services for Daniel Silas Bragg of Dallas, retired farmer will be held at 3:30p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Farmers Branch.
Burial will be in the cemetery at Sowers, near Irving. Pallbearers will be Victor Frosch. Odie Clyde Frosch, Billy George Frosch, Arlin Sharp and Enoch Sharp.
Bragg died Sunday in a Dallas hospital. He had been in ill health for years. His residence here was 2026 Hawthorne. Bragg was born in Falls County. He came to Dallas County at the turn of the century and farmed until 1918 at Irving. It was at Irving where he and Miss Ida Mae Wood were married in 1917. In 1918, Bragg moved to Farmers Branch where he farmed until he moved to Dallas in 1941. He was a former member of the Woodmen of the World and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.
Bragg is survived by his wife; a son, Dannie E. Bragg, Dallas; three brothers Silas Bragg of Fannin County and George Bragg and Charlie Bragg both of Hamlin, Jones County; six sisters, Mrs. Lula Wright, Forth Worth; Mrs Nettie Penix, Mabank Kaufman County; Mrs. Lucy Troughber, Duncanville; Mrs. Minnie Howard and Mrs. Laura Frosch both of Terrell: Mrs Helen Walker, Dallas, and three grandchildren.
