Funeral Services to honor and celebrate the life of Murray Sonny Beesley Sr. will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at DeArman-Clark Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Russett Cemetery. Family hour will be from 5:00 - 7:00 on Friday, August 23.
Murray Elton “Sonny” Beesley Sr. passed from this life at the age of 80 on August 21, 2019 in the comfort of his home in Tishomingo, OK with his loving family surrounding him. Sonny was born on March 14, 1939 in Connerville, OK to Herbert Elton Sr. and Ileene (Massengile) Beesley. He married the love of his life Susie Basham on September 17, 1968 in Gainesville, Texas and the two have been inseparable since. Farming, hauling hay and cutting wood were how Sonny spent his career years working. He loved being in the great outdoors; whether he was camping with his wife Susie, fishing, gardening, hunting or trapping, if he was outside, he had a great big smile on his face and was content. He loved tinkering on old cars, building things and was just a good ole handy man as most would say. Sonny’s most important thing in life was his big family and being the father to 18 children that he adored and loved spending all the time he could with. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend and so much more and everyone who knew him will forever miss him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Ileene Beesley; 4 infant sons and 1 daughter; 1 grandson and 1 granddaughter; sisters, Edith Keith and Maybell Stockley; brother, Herbert Beesley.
