Bob and his wife were worldwide travelers, traveling from Switzerland to Mexico. They also traveled to 48 states. He had a love for golfing and camping. He also was an excellent silversmith. Above all else, he enjoyed spending time with family and was an amazing grandpa and great-grandpa.
He was an active member at Lowman United Methodist Church, filling in numerous roles.
Bob married JoAnn Kirby on August 26, 1951 in Topeka, she survives. Other survivors include his sons; Greg (Jana), Mike (Audrey) and Roger (Joy); grandchildren, Heather, Wade, Julie, Nancy, Travis, Nicole, Laura, Dustin and Mitchel and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lois Merrill
