YAKIMA - Parmer Albert Sickler passed away July 12, 2003 at Summitview Healthcare Center in Yakima. He had celebrated his 99th birthday, on May 23rd. His wife of 54 years, Trudy, passed away December 29, 1979. Parmer was a farmer, a hop rancher, and a logger. He enjoyed salmon fishing and traveling. He and Trudy visited all 50 states in their travels.
He leaves eight children: Parmer J. (Virgene) Sickler of Yakima; Lola Mondor of Yakima; Joseph (Brenda) Sickler of Maple Valley, WA; Frances Fish of Yakima, Kathy Edwards of Yakima, Purdy (Janice) Sickler of Yakima; Phyllis (Keith) Reynolds of Yakima; and Jerry Sickler of Yakima, as well as 22 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Barcley and David, sister, Frances, and one grandchild, Ken Reynolds.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2003 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Shaw & Sons Funeral Directors. A Tribute Service will be held Thursday, July 17, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. at Shaw & Sons Memorial Chapel, with Farewell Services immediately following at Old Holland Cemetery on Mieras Road in Moxee.
