Fenn B. Newell Jr., age 72, a resident of Connellsville, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully with his family by his side Sunday, July 1, 2007.

He was born September 29, 1934, in New York, the son of Fenn and Helen Newell.

Fenn served over 30 years in the United States Navy and the United States Navy Shipyard.

He was an avid sports fan and dedicated to his Seattle sports teams.

Fenn was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mildred, and his two children, Ricky Small and Jan Newell.

Fenn is survived by his beloved children: Diana Rosendale and her husband, Robert, of Connellsville, Pennsylvania, Merton Small of Moses Lake, Washington, and Christine Petersen and her husband, Gary, of Bremerton, Washington; and his beloved grandchildren, whom he adored: James Overly, Jamie and Chuck Kordich, Traci and Robert Eadie, Nicole and Tom Kolencik, Michael Rosendale, Sara Small, Jessica Small, Tyler Small and Maureen Severin. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, with whom he shared his love of sports: Ashley Petrone, Logan Kordich, Seth Williams, Tyler Eadie, Jordan Eadie and Collin McManus; a sister, Suzanne Woodward of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; a brother, Harry Newell and his wife, Katie, of Westmoreland, New Hampshire; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., on Tuesday, July 3, 2007, from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel at 11:30 a.m. with Monsignor Raymond Riffle officiating.

Interment will be private.
