Joe Pat Allen, 60, of Bardstown, passed away Wednesday August 9, 2017 at his residence. He was born November 26, 1956 in Bardstown, retired from NuKote, a 1975 graduate of Bardstown High School, an avid U of L fan, and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his father, C.E. Allen. He is survived by his mother, Betty Ray Allen; eleven brothers and sisters, William D. Allen, Theresa Slovak, Mary Lane Volatile, Marian Toomey, Tim (Lana) Allen, Renee Nowatka, Mark Allen, Danny (Mona) Allen, Julia Wolf, Jerry (Christina) Allen, and Scott Allen; best friend, Preston Gilkey, who he loved like a son; and several nieces and nephews. His memorial service will be 4:00 pm Saturday August 12, 2017 at Barlow Funeral Home. Deacon David Farrell will officiate. Visitation will be 10 am to 4 pm Saturday August 12 at Barlow Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may go to St. Joseph Parish.
