Minnie Gibson

WAPELLO - Mrs. Minnie Gibson, 88, life resident of Des Moines county, died Saturday at Poage's nursing home.

She was born July 20, 1875, the daughter of William H. and Laura Thompson Loper. She was educated at Amity Rural school, Kossuth Academy and Battle Creek(Mich.)college.

Mrs. Gibson was a member of Mediapolis Presbyterian church and the Golden Hour club.

She married Taylor W. Gibson, March 19, 1896.

Survivors include one son, Orville L. Gibson, Mediapolis; one daughter, Mrs. Doris Beggs, Montrose; one brother, C.H. Loper, Mediapolis, and several grand and great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Fry's. Burial will be in Kossuth cemetery.
