Frederick Booher, father of Jacob was a native of France, whence he emigrated to the New World in 1829. He located in Bedford County, where he engaged in milling for some time, but later removed to Armstrong County, and turned his attention to lumbering and farming throughout the remainder of his life. His death occurred in that county.
